Today brought me back to Elian’s first birthday as I got the official photos of his party held at Early Bird Breakfast Club in Eastwood last December. Everything was captured beautifully, thanks to Happy Folks Studio! It’s just been a month since the party but Elian has grown so much since then. He’s bigger, chunkier and his hair is thicker and longer that he looks more like a little boy now and seeing the photos feels like his party’s been farther off than just a month. The good thing with having a really great photographer at special milestones such as the first birthday of your firstborn is that you get to capture every little important detail of the occasion. And you can look back and remember the event more beautifully with your child and your family. Thank you for this, Happy Folks Studio!

Going through the photos, I fell in love once more with the happy and elegant styling done by She Dreams In Ink! I’ve always been a sucker for simple but lovely table styling and I love how Indy styled all the tables and photo walls at Elian’s party! When we were planning his party, I told her I wanted his birthday theme of “Where The Wild Things Are” executed elegantly to have a fresh and unique feel to the usually quirkily-done theme. And she did just that. I love flowers and greens and I love how she incorporated it all. All our guests loved the details — the wood painted with quotes and characters from the book, the gold crowns, the teepee and Elian’s photo walls. Thank you so so much Indy for making Elian’s party such a memorable one! 🙂

We didn’t really plan on having a party for Elian’s first birthday. We just wanted to travel with him to celebrate especially since his birthday is during the holiday season but everybody especially our family kept telling us to celebrate it still. So we decided to just have an intimate Thanksgiving gathering in advance for everybody who prayed with us and who were there with us throughout our journey to having Elian in our lives. And the best place to celebrate it is of course, Early Bird Breakfast Club, our baby before our actual baby 🙂 It made the occasion even more special as it came full circle, celebrating the first birthday of our firstborn in the place that Dad and Mom built and worked on as we waited to have him.

Thank you to the whole team of Early Bird Breakfast Club who made this celebration a success from the yummy food and giveaways our Chefs made, to the setup on how we can fit everybody lol! Again, big big thanks to everybody who celebrated with us, all his Ninongs and Ninangs, our families and friends! It was just a cozy, intimate celebration but filled with so much love and laughter all for our little one! 🙂
